End Credits Show Notes for Wednesday September 13, 2017

You’ll float too! But, you know, in a good way, as End Credits moves to its new old time slot in the morning of the middle of the week to make sure that you kick off your hump day right! How will we do that? With a review of a new movie and a discussion of movie news. This week, we’re going to look at the newest advice for making good video game movies, the newest instance of white-washed casting in the films, and the newest Star Wars director to be fired. All that, and a happy clown and the seven kids that love him on this first episode of our fall slate.  Continue reading “End Credits Show Notes for Wednesday September 13, 2017”

End Credits Show Notes for Thursday August 31, 2017

This week on End Credits, we issue a death note… to summer! Yes, it’s our last show of the summer, and it’s our last show in our temporary Thursday time slot, and we tee up the fall with a delightful new horror pick about teens that kill people magically with the help of a demon. In other news, or rather *the *news, this week, we talk about some marriage drama, the changing way we see movies, and the perfectly stupid idea of telling a super-villain’s origin story.  Continue reading “End Credits Show Notes for Thursday August 31, 2017”

End Credits Show Notes for Thursday August 24, 2017

This week’s episode of End Credits is going to be sick. Big sick! In the last days of summer as we try to find something to get excited about, we’ll review the wonderful new romantic comedy The Big Sick. And speaking of comedy, we spend the first half of the show trying to remember if there’s anything good from this summer, and it turns out there just might be.  Continue reading “End Credits Show Notes for Thursday August 24, 2017”

End Credits Show Notes for Thursday August 17, 2017

For the next couple of weeks on End Credits, we’re going to play catch-up on some indie hits from the summer, and we’re starting with the vexingly unconventional haunted house drama A Ghost Story, which will surely generate some strong opinions from the panel. In the news, we’ll talk about how the House of Mouse is considering its next phase of global domination, whether Judd Apatow has the answer to solve movie comedy, and whether Titanic remains unsinkable after almost two decades.  Continue reading “End Credits Show Notes for Thursday August 17, 2017”

End Credits Show Notes for Thursday August 10, 2017

This week on End Credits, we go dark. It’s a very bad world out there sometimes, and we don’t just mean pseudo-post-apocalyptic universes where magic cowboys chase the sorcerer Satan across the multiverse. Yes, we are reviewing The Dark Tower this week, but we’ll also be talking about the latest digital robbery in Hollywood, how that little film festival down the 401 is shaping up this year, and why a trailer for a certain movie coming out this year might make us wish we were dead… Continue reading “End Credits Show Notes for Thursday August 10, 2017”

End Credits Show Notes for Thursday August 3, 2017

This week on End Credits, things are going to get hot. Atomic hot! We’ll review a new action movie where women kick butt and make it all look so easy in a world full of stupid, beatable men. It’s a perfect anecdote for the heat of summer, and if the wags are to be believed, the audience definitely needs a hit to love. Speaking of hot, we’ll talk about the controversy of a new HBO series, and how being the worst director doesn’t always mean what you think. Continue reading “End Credits Show Notes for Thursday August 3, 2017”

End Credits Show Notes for Thursday July 27, 2017

Disasters is kind of theme this week on End Credits. The movie of the week is about a military disaster, snatching victory out of the jaws of total and complete military annihilation, and to kick things off we look at another movie that turned out to be a disaster and the new movie being made about that. In between, we’ll ask some serious questions about the nature of Comic Con and the nature of the future of movies.  Continue reading “End Credits Show Notes for Thursday July 27, 2017”

End Credits Show Notes for Thursday July 20, 2017

This week on End Credits we’ve got female issues. Or rather other people have female issues and we have to talk about them. For instance, the man that gave us Pulp Fiction, and The Hateful Eight is tired of made-up violence and wants to tackle real life incidents of monstrous murder, in this case against a Hollywood actress. And then, one critic thinks a made-up test to promote better women characters in film is destroying movies, and Disney can’t find two Middle Eastern people that can sing and dance and act out of seven billion humans on Planet Earth. And we’ll top all that off with review of a film that’s a new spin on an old theme.  Continue reading “End Credits Show Notes for Thursday July 20, 2017”

End Credits Show Notes for Thursday July 13, 2017

This week, End Credits does what ever a radio show about movies can. Spins a web, any-size, but by web we mean a yarn, as in a way to explain something. You can’t really set theme music to it, but that’s okay. To celebrate the particular release of a certain superhero’s new film, we’ll kick the show off by digging into a genre that some people think is awesome, and other people think is ruining Hollywood, and together we’ll find some gold.  Continue reading “End Credits Show Notes for Thursday July 13, 2017”
